Flautas
Flautas are one of my favorite foods that my mom makes. My family doesn’t really go out to eat, so my mom is always making something for us to eat at home. We’re a Mexican family, so she’s always making different kinds of Mexican food, and I like Flautas more than any other thing she cooks. Flautas are a Mexican food consisting of chicken, beef, or cheese rolled up in a tortilla. There are different ways to make Flautas, but my mom makes them the way she learned.
Ingredients: Chicken, Seasoning Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Corn Tortillas, Toothpick, and a skillet.
- First boil the chicken for four hours so it can get soft
- Tear the chicken apart
- Put seasoning salt, pepper, and garlic powder in the chicken
- Warm up the corn tortilla
- Put some chicken in a tortilla and roll it up
- Put a toothpick through the roll and fry it
- Finally put any topping you want and enjoy it!
