Lubbock High offers a wide range of extracurricular activities that students can and love to participate in! Upcoming this week and next week, students are preparing for the long-awaited fashion show by our very own fashion department!

Students in cosmetology, fashion, and design are all working together to put on an organized fashion event, completed with models and a walkway! Clothes are being made, donated, and fixed up to showcase a wide range of talents, styles and trends!

The fashion department students have a lot to say, encouraging and hyping up their peers to put on the most fantastic show just yet!

“I’ve worked really hard for this, and I’m proud to see how far I’ve come as a student trying to learn fashion and design,” an anonymous student said. “To me, clothes are truly a blessing- I get to express who I am, with colors, styles and any other elements that I want to add!”.

For students all across the world, clothing and appearances are an outlet for creativity and expression. Like the anonymous student said, our Lubbock High students have worked incredibly hard to put together a wonderful collection of clothes that showcases the talents and hard put in effort of all students.

The fashion show at Lubbock High happens annually, but it seems as though the students this year have truly outdone themselves.

“I’m amazed at the show, it was super entertaining as well!” a parent at the show commented. “Lubbock High is a great school for allowing outstanding students to show their outstanding talents.”

Students of many departments have worked hard to achieve such a goal! Let’s encourage them and praise their accomplishments.
