Westerner varsity football lost with a disappointing final score of 7-57.
“It definitely humbled us a lot being 3-1 in a long time.” Offensive Receiver Denzel Robins said, “ We came into the game super confident but it changed our perspective after the game.”
Despite our winning streak we knew sooner or later we would lose.
“We could perceive the ball way better” Defensive Tackle John Eriting said, “We just ran around with the ball and didn’t know what we were doing at that time ” throughout four quarters they just didn’t have the winning mindset.
“First play of the game we had a pass go for 58 yards” Coach Emilio said, “But unfortunately it was called back to penalty then we had another penalty after that it took us a while to recover from that” The penalty heavily contributed to our loss.
Things that we could achieve on we’re sticking together as a team “Wide Receiver Derek Torez said, “just finishing until the end. “ They couldn’t figure out how to play as a team.
“The bye week is a time to rest up” Coach Emilio said , “and build on things, I am confident we will get it back and get rolling again, one loss won’t affect our future wins.”
