This week our Varsity Volleyball team played against Amarillo High school. Our girls played their hardest and made sure to not let their connection with each other stumble. Growing as a team and showing their loving support to each other is helping them connect both on and off the court.
Addisyn Moser,11, has been noticing the connection between the girls slowly gets better throughout each game. She noticed that their momentum actually got better in the 3rd set.
Allowing themselves to be better connected with each other and playing as a team gives them an advantage over the others. Keeping their momentum is always important when trying to develop that connection with the team. They noticed some things they need to work on and how they can keep growing.
“We definitely need to work on our energy and communication,” Jazline Astorga,a junior on the team, said. “We tend to try to play our best for ourselves and beat ourselves down for it, but we are getting better or staying connected.”
As a team our girls are growing so much and making a lot of progress. It is also amazing the way that they all can see how they can grow and be better personally. By not only paying attention to how they as a team can get better but also seeing it for themselves is so important when playing volleyball. And we are so proud that they are willing to shape themselves into better players.
Their next game is September 12 against Lubbock Cooper at LHS. Be sure to come support our team. You got this girls!!
