Lubbock High School Pep Rallies on September 5th, September 19th, and October 21st are quickly approaching! The themes are Hawaiian, Black and Gold, and Pink Out.
“I think that pep rallies get the students hype¨, says Claudia Garcia, 10, a Varsity cheerleader.
Many students like to participate in pep rallies because it gets them involved with their fellow students. Pep rallies celebrate sports, clubs, and academics while being filled with Lubbock High pride and games students can play.
¨Most of the time when we have pep rallies [the football players] play better.¨, Reese Pena, Student body president says.
Overall pep rallies can affect the overall morale and drive of the team. As well as helping the team, pep rallies raise Westerner pride for administration, students and parents alike. They also keep Lubbock High’s traditions going.
If you would like to participate in this next pep rally, tickets will be sold in the Cafeteria. Tickets are one dollar each and will allow you to get out of 8th period to go to the pep rally. You will not be able to enter without a ticket.
