Westerner Varsity Football annihilated the Big Spring Steers with an amazing final score of 30-21.
It was already over for the Steers when Varsity Football scored 3 touchdowns within the first half of the game. Braiden Dunkerson made 2 touchdowns back to back and 1 for Derek Torez. Westerners were hopeful this game would’ve been a complete shut out!
“It was a good win for our first home game,” running back Braiden Dunkerson said.
It was not just important to the fans that we won this game, but important to the coaches and the team.
“We had to keep our foot on the gas the whole time.” wide receiver Denzel Robins said.
The third quarter arrived and Big Spring really went full send and gained 20 points in only a couple of minutes.
“It really just came down to doing our job,” middle linebacker Charlie Hogan said.
At the end, we came out on top, securing our first win of the season!
