Coming into my first year of a new school and from being the top of the school in 8th grade to the babies (aka the fishes), I was very scared of what the school year was going to be like and who I was going to talk to since all my friends left for a different school. High School specifically is definitely a hard balance with all the activities that you may be involved in. As a freshman, I did dance, cheer, and school. Now as a sophomore, I would give you the advice to not sit in class and do nothing, get the work done and get it done by the time you are supposed to get it done. Talk to your teacher when you are gone for another class or if you are gone for your sport. Get involved with the student council and get involved with the school. Go to the pep rallies, go to games. This is your time. Choose your friends wisely and surround yourself with positive people, people that will be proud of your success and proud of what you have accomplished. You won’t be able to re-live high school so take all the time in high school and do everything you can. With the new phone law things may feel different but don’t let that affect your life as someone before you have to be an adult and have to pay your bills and pay for things that you don’t want. Just enjoy your freshman year, High school won’t last forever, enjoy it while you can.
